Blair's 2nd Birthday Party

Blair has had quite the birthday weekend!  Thursday we went to Seven Peaks for an afternoon of fun (she was in heaven with all the slides, water, splashing, and shoes and goggles galore!).  Friday I put together what I call a 'glorified' playdate so as to tell myself that this birthday was going to be less work than Blair's first birthday.  Not that her 1st birthday wasn't fun, but you know. 

Blair invited some of her most favorite friends and their mom's to enjoy a day at the pool.  The kids enjoyed cupcakes, goldfish, goggles and juice boxes... oh, and lots of splashing and running around.  It was the perfect low-key party.  Two-year olds don't notice if you bought the cupcakes or slaved all day piping them yourself.  Phew! Blair had a ball with Sienna, Jett, Halle, Corry and babies Jack and Krue.  Here is the proof :

Blair is practically obsessed with the Bubble Guppies (nick jr.) - who can blame her?!  It was a perfect theme to go along with a swimming party.  She was surprised to see the cupcake toppers and kept pointing out the characters, "dats Oona!  dats Deema!"  And it was rather perfect that they were eating these extremely messy cupcakes while in their bathing suits... easy clean up! They were fascinated by the many ants that eventually took an equal liking to the fallen frosting.

Blair, for one, LOVES goggles.  We brought a pair for each of her guests and what resulted was hysterical!  Once on, Blair will wear her goggles all afternoon - regardless of the fact that she can't see through them, doesn't really need them (doesn't go under water) and they squish her ears, eyes and nose.  SO glad we captured a few of these moments.
